Looking for a supportive, comfortable gaming chair that’s built with performance and quality in mind? The Secretlab Omega is one of the best gaming chairs on the market, offering a mix of outstanding building quality and useful features that appeal to both console and PC gamers.

Secretlab is one of the most well known brands in the gaming chair market. As their flagship, best-selling chair, the 2018 version of the Omega packs all of the company’s technology and design philosophy into a seriously impressive package.

Are you considering the Omega as a PC or console gaming chair? From features to materials, comfort and build quality, we’ve covered every aspect of the Secretlab below to help you make an informed buying decision.

Features

The Omega is one of the most feature-packed gaming chairs on the market. It has a Class 4 hydraulic piston that allows for quick, accurate height adjustment across a large range, letting people of all sizes adjust the Omega to provide a comfortable seating position.

The rear of the chair is filled with cold-cure foam for optimal spine support and comfort, while a memory foam lumbar pillow is included to ensure you maintain healthy posture while you game and avoid injuries.

Add four-directional soft PU-coated armrests, a multi-functional tilt mechanism and a free velour head pillow into the equation and the Omega delivers a huge variety of technology and features for its retail price.

Two brothers created the chairs, see the interview here.

Design

From a design perspective, the Omega ticks all the right boxes. The chair has a classic sports automotive-inspired design, with a solid back reminiscent of the seating found in 70s and 80s sports cars.

The Omega is available in five colour schemes, ranging from stealth black to white, amber and royal blue. All five variations feature high quality PU leather upholstery, with a premium look that sets the Omega apart from less expensive gaming chairs.

Build Quality

The Omega is Secretlab’s flagship chair, making it a showcase product for the brand’s focus on quality. It looks spectacular, feels extremely sturdy and uses high quality materials, making it an excellent option if you want to invest in a gaming chair that’s built to last.

Secretlab provides a two-year warranty for all functional portions of the Omega (meaning rips, aesthetic defects and misuse aren’t covered). From a quality perspective, the Omega is very tough to fault — this is a premium gaming chair that looks and feels like a top notch product.

Overall Rating

The 2018 version of the Secretlab Omega is the best yet. It’s comfortable, stylish, supportive and extremely well made. This is a premium gaming chair sold at a premium price for people who want a reliable, high quality product.

If you care about quality and view your gaming chair as an investment rather than a cost, the Secretlab Omega definitely belongs on your radar.

As technology lovers, we’re always looking for new ways to utilize software to help our daily lives.

If you’re a blogger, you might want to find a tool that’ll help you collect information about your readers. If you’re a general gaming enthusiast, you might want to discover a tool that’ll collect data from your sources. Let’s face it – getting your hopes up for a new Xbox launch that isn’t backed by other sources is likely to end in tears.

Whatever type of data you’re looking to find (or collect), I’m sure that JotForm’s latest feature will be right up your street!

I’ve been using the Cards tool for the past few weeks here on Mozbot, while trying to collect more information about our readers – including you! One of our aims for this year is to plough more effort and content into the blog. But, in order to do that, we need a bit of background knowledge to help us create a strategy that suits you.

Wanna find out my opinion on JotForm’s new feature, and see if it could be for you?

What is JotForm?

The team at JotForm created a form-building tool that helps people to collect information. Although they’ve been offering a product that allows people to easily create online forms since 2006, I was really excited about their Cards offering.

JotForm have a simple drag-and-drop interface which allows you to create custom online forms, and collect information – without a single line of code needed… Bonus!

Once signed up, you have the choice of choosing from a Blank Form, Template or Custom Form. I thought these selections were awesome. You can either:

  • Create your own form from scratch
  • Work from a tried-and-tested template with pre-filled suggestions to gain information
  • Import your own form and beautify it using the software

Plus, if you’re using the software in addition to other programs, you can even integrate JotForm. So, if you’re a PayPal, Stripe, Salesforce, Dropbox or Mailchimp fan, you can make sure that your forms are completely functional.

For my Mozbot trial, I used the Template option. Running a blog takes tonnes of time and unfortunately, I don’t have tonnes of spare time to create a reader survey.

That’s why I loved the  JotForm Cards feature so much – it didn’t take any longer than 15 minutes to set-up my survey and start collecting information.

As for the templates themselves, I was pleasantly surprised with how many there were to choose from! Plus, you can browse the templates by Industry and Form Type, which allowed me to quickly find a template that was suitable for my needs.

What can I create with it?

JotForm allow you to collect so much information. Instead of only being able to use basic forms like Name, Email Address and Phone Number, I could choose from hundreds of widgets, including:

  • Multiple choice questions
  • Payment integrations
  • File uploads
  • Star ratings
  • Signature collection
  • Calendars for date selection

…And, with their new Cards feature, they have tonnes of new features that allow you to collect even more information. Plus the option to show one ‘Card’ (or question) at a time, which makes them look even better on your website.

Because there were so many fields and integrations for me to use, I could use the Cards software for:

  • Customer satisfaction surveys (using the “Star Ratings” field)
  • Taking online bookings (using PayPal integration)
  • Guest blog submissions (using the “Long Text” field)

What’s different about JotForm?

I know, you’re probably saying, “Elise – what’s the difference between this software and the others I can choose from?”. I was apprehensive before trying another software, too.

JotForm’s Cards are different to the rest. Here’s why:

It’s fun

You know the feeling of boredom you get when filling out a survey online? Your customers, or the people you’re collecting information from, will probably feel the same when they complete yours.

However, you don’t have to give that feeling with JotForm. That’s because they make surveys (or data entry) fun for your people. Emojis, smileys and other icons liven-up the experience, giving you a better chance of getting actual, meaningful and non-rushed information from your people.

It’s less distracting for your audience

I don’t know about you, but if I open-up a survey with ten questions squished onto a single page, I zone out. Your  audience is the same: busy, and may be less focused if they’re confronted with so much content on their first page.

Unlike the Classic forms feature where all fields are on one page, JotForm Cards layout only uses one. A single question is displayed per page, which makes it easy for your audience to focus and fill out.

I mean, how much better is that, as opposed to a boring page that’s full of text?

It’s more accurate for you

Traditional  forms run the risk of potentially boring your audience If people feel bored or unfocused, that could lead to one thing that defeats the entire point of your survey: inaccurate results.

Because the Cards feature only shows one question and uses fun emojis to engage your surveyee, they’re likely to put more time – and thought – into their answers. That means you’ll yield more accurate information, and avoid entries that are filled just to pass the time!

Plus, JotForm Cards gives feedback to your users when they’re completing the survey. Micro animations and suggestions for improvement help to prevent people from making mistakes, meaning increased accuracy in your collected data.

It’s easy to embed

Creating an online form is all fun and games until it comes to actually sending that form to your customers. That’s where JotForm Cards come into play.

The question pages automatically adapt to a user’s page, and can adjust to your website. Colours, fonts and styles will be altered to fit your brand, meaning that it’s easy (and pretty!)  to embed on your site.

So, if you’re looking for an online form that’ll help you collect information without boring your customers, I definitely recommend JotForm Cards.

Remember that Cards is a new addition to the JotForm software (and exists alongside their initial Classic Forms). But, whichever option you go for, I’m sure that you – and your audience  – will love creating and answering surveys with JotForm.

The New Year is here, and if you’re anything like me, you spent the first few days of 2018 setting goals. After all, a change in the year marks a huge change in your life, and gives you the opportunity to start a fresh – and work to achieving your life-long goals!

One popular New Year’s resolution is to save money. Whether you’re saving for a home, a holiday or just for a rainy day, it doesn’t hurt to have a small lump of cash that you can fall-back on.

But, that cash can’t be saved if you can’t make it!

In this guide, we’ve shared four ways that you can make extra cash with your technology gadgets in 2018. So, if you’ve been gifted a new gadget for Christmas, you might be in luck!

1. Sell old technology that you don’t need

Spotted a 2006 Nintendo DS underneath your bed? Perhaps there’s a computer collecting dust in your apartment, or a laptop that hasn’t been used for years.

Old technology can be traded in for cash, even if it’s a few years old. Simply do a quick Google search of technology recycling businesses, ship your technology off and wait to get paid!

2. Try your hand at online betting

When we talk about making extra cash online, many of us stray away from the thought of using betting sites. However, if you have some spare cash to play with, it’s a fantastic way to earn more money – and have fun, at the same time!

Games through the Betsafe app can be downloaded on your Android phone to play on-the-go. Plus, with a welcome bonus for new customers, there’s no better way to make cash through your tech for the New Year.

3. Start your own blog

Now, when you think of technology, you might not class a blog as being within that remit. Although that is technically true, you can use your tech to create a blog to make extra cash in 2018.

We’ve all heard of the infamous bloggers who’re making six-figure salaries with their blogs. For newbies, don’t expect to make millions when you first get set-up. This one’s more of a long-term solution!

Remember that successful and profitable blogs have a passion behind their site, so make sure that your blog is started for a reason other than to make cash fast.

4. Sell your photographs

Nowadays, the cameras available on our mobile phones allow us to create stunning photos. You’d think that a few simple snaps were taken on a professional DSLR camera… Not an iPhone!

You can take advantage of these incredible cameras by selling your photographs. Head out to your city and snap away, or drive into the country to photograph some of nature’s finest work. Then, tidy up the photos and sell them online.

As you can see, making a bit of extra cash doesn’t have to be a struggle. In fact, you can dig out your old (or new!) tech and see the money roll in within a matter of minutes.

You probably already know about chatbots and how they work, but are you aware of the potential risks involved with using them? No? Then let’s jump right into exploring their security dangers.

How risky are chatbots?

Security and privacy concerns arise from every personal data-handling AI-powered software. Chatbots are no exception. Chatbots have only been a regular part of many businesses for a few years. Security steps and standards have started to emerge recently, in response to their rise in popularity. However, this means that gaps in the system can still be found and exploited. Such security gaps are soft targets for cybercriminals. To understand how cybercriminals can turn chatbots into manipulative, malicious, data-stealing machines, we need to understand how chatbots handle and process data.

Chatbot data handling and processing

Data handling and processing are fundamental elements of how chatbots work. They ask questions, then collect and store data from customers. Chatbots use the data to train themselves to become more accurate regarding the quality of their responses.

There are issues that need to be addressed when it comes to understanding how chatbots store and deal with data. Is the data stored locally or in the cloud? Who has access to the data, either to work with it or just to view it? How do the bots train themselves based on that data?

To successfully embrace the potential of chatbots, the way they store and process data will need to be regulated. Those regulations will need to address the nature and amount of data, storage, accessibility, and further usage. Companies will then need to deliver these details to their customers in a transparent manner.

Chatbot data security and encryption

Chatbots handle, store and process a large amount of sensitive data, which comes directly from users. As such, it’s essential that chatbot communication is encrypted as part of maximizing chatbot security. Facebook, for example, opened up its Messenger app to chatbot developers in early 2016. The company also started to test end-to-end encryption for secret conversations, even though Messenger uses secure channels for communications.

There are many authentication methods that businesses can use to keep their chatbots secure and protect their customers’ data. These include biometrics, self-destructing messages, user identity checks, two factor authentication, and fingerprint scans. Above all, companies should never deploy chatbots via unsecure and unencrypted channels.

Be aware of criminal chatbots

Chatbots are relatively new to the market. As such, security protocols and other standards are still in the planning and development phase. This means that companies need to consider the cybersecurity risks of using chatbots and implement ways to make them as secure as possible.

Chatbots use and analyze customers’ personality and behavioral pattern data in order to learn and develop the service they deliver. This type of data is a goldmine for cybercriminals. Jim O’Neill, former CIO of Hubspot said,

“If you think about conversational interactions with bots, we’re naturally going to be giving up more information than we intend to.”

Vulnerable platforms are an easy target for hackers mounting phishing, malware and social engineering attacks.

Potential risks involved with using chatbots

Unauthorized subscriptions

During a conversation with a chatbot, it’s easy to click on a malicious link that directs you to a harmful website. It’s also easy to hand over your private information, as existing cases have already shown. In one online dating app, for example, a chatbot imitated a real female user and directed other users to subscribe to different adult sites.

Sensitive data theft

With every online platform that handles large amount of personal data, hackers try to find a way to break into the system to steal users’ private data. In 2016, a malicious Facebook messenger chatbot tricked 10,000 Facebook users into installing malware through a Chrome extension. Since chatbots are also available in critically private information handling industries like banking, maximized security measures like SSL and TLS are indispensable.

Negatively affected customer decisions

Advanced chatbots have features like taking buyers straight to checkout without them needing to browse the relevant website. However, sometimes chatbots can’t handle the requests that customers throw at them – or at least not as effectively as they need to. In these cases, the chatbots can negatively affect the customer experience.

Lack of empathy

Natural language processing is a key feature of AI-powered chatbots. However, that doesn’t mean that chatbots have their own personality. The lack of empathy can cause rigid and impersonal conversations (despite some chatbots using emojis), which can be offputting for customers. Achieiving a natural, appropriate conversational flow is important for keeping the user experience on an acceptable level.

Be cautious

Customer awareness of suspicious links isn’t necessarily enough in such situations, because the increased trust rate that comes as part of the nature of chatting makes people particularly vulnerable. As an organizational level, these type of attacks could lead to a massive cybersecurity breach.

Tips for chatbot security

Chatbots are integrated into platforms that have their own security responsibilities. The security of chatbots is therefore in the hands of developers and of those existing platforms. Sadly, hackers are always finding new ways to compromise people’s personal data, no matter how secure the systems protecting that data may be.

Chatbots present a new target for cybercriminals. As such, it’s important for those who use them – as well as those who develop them – to be aware of the possible threats. There are security measures you can easily set up to help protect yourself. Never clicking a suspicious link is a good start. You should always check whether the source is trustworthy or not. In addition, avoid giving personal information to a chatbot. In addition, you can take a look at this VPN guide, it is one of the best methods to keep your online activities private and secure. Your online security and privacy should be primary, and it’s up to you to protect yourself.

At one point in time Flash videos were everywhere you looked online, and were almost synonymous with the idea of online streaming videos. Although that may not be the case anymore you can still find a lot of Flash video content in the form of online streaming videos or Flash animation.

As you may have guessed, downloading these videos can often be fairly tricky as most of the websites or platforms that they’re housed on don’t provide download links. Because of that you’ll have to take a different tack, and use Movavi Screen Recorder to record the Flash video from your screen and only then save it on your hard drive.

Part of the reason why you should opt to use Movavi Screen Recorder is that it will make all of that quite easy. In fact, if you already have a Flash video that you’d like to download open, you can go ahead and launch Movavi Screen Recorder and draw a frame over it using your mouse cursor as soon as you do.

That frame will define the capture area, which in this case should be the Flash video that you want to record. It is also possible to click on a program window that you want to record to select it, or click anywhere else and use one of the presets listed on Movavi Screen Recorder’s interface.

Aside from the capture area, the only other setting that you should check on is the audio source. By default, the ‘System Audio’ icon should be highlighted in green and the ‘Microphone’ icon should not be, but if that isn’t the case you can click on one or the other to toggle it.

If that checks out, you should be ready to start recording at any time. Before you do however you may want to click on the ‘alarm clock’ icon and set a timer or schedule the recording if you’d like Movavi Screen Recorder to automate it. On the other hand if you’d prefer to manually control it, you can click ‘REC’ and play the video then use the ‘Pause’, ‘Cancel’ or ‘Stop’ buttons.

Essentially that is all that it takes to use Movavi Screen Recorder as a Flash video downloader. Once the recording is complete you can review it, trim out any parts you don’t need, then save it in any format.

Of course there are other parameters that you can adjust in Movavi Screen Recorder as well – they just aren’t particularly relevant when you want to download Flash videos. Assuming you’d like to use it to record other types of videos however, you’ll find a slew of features that are just a click or two away.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are fast approaching, which means Christmas shopping season is about to start. It always pays to be first out of the blocks to grab those Christmas tech gadget bargains.

We have searched the market, tried and tested those must-have designs and come up with a list of tech gadgets that will be popular with any tech lover this festive season. Everyone loves a gadget, whether to make life that bit easier or just to have some fun.

A new gadget at Christmas will always provide entertainment that spans the generations. Whether you are buying for your parents, grandparents or children, or you can’t resist the temptation to buy for yourself, our list highlights some tech gift trends for 2017, with a tech present to suit everyone on your list.

  1. Sphero’s BB-9E  and R2-D2

Star Wars is set to absolutely dominate the world of Christmas gifts this year, with the second film of the new Skywalker trilogy – The Last Jedi – set for release over the Christmas period.

Sphero’s BB-9E and R2-D allow you to use your smartphone or tablet to control your own droid. What sets these new droids apart from others previously on the market is the integral use of app technology, as opposed to any physical remote with limited capacity. The options can all be accessed through your smart device.

You can geek out and have your own personal guard – the patrol mode instructs the droid to gingerly explore its surroundings ahead of you. The droid’s movements are ingeniously programmed to reflect their personalities – hugely entertaining for all the family. We want one!

  1. Kanger

2017 started with a boom in the vaping industry, with several hundred vape gadgets making an appearance. Numerous celebrities have caught onto this trend and have switched to vaping over traditional cigarettes.

Classic box mods are still very popular on the market. They are the source of power for electronic cigarettes, converting current from the battery and channeling it to the tank and your e-cig coils and they are being updated with new features and more power.

KangerTech is one of the leaders in making tech smart kits. Their Kanger vape products come in a variety of on-trend colours such as red, platinum and white and they are portable and affordable.

  1. Homedics Sensatouch 2 In 1 Shiatsu Massage

There are many massager gadgets out there which might appeal to parents or grandparents offering a great alternative to a spa trip. We have enjoyed trying out massage pads, pillows, shoulder wraps, foot massagers and other gadgets.

In our opinion Homedics’ Sensatouch 2 in 1 Shiatsu massager is one of the most thoughtful gifts as it straps to your favourite chair and the Sensatouch technology massages away even the tightest knots. For an even more relaxing experience, activate the heat mode which we can guarantee provides immediate relief for tired backs and shoulders.

  1. HP Sprocket 2-in-1

Many people still prefer to print photos and it is always thoughtful to give photos as gifts for family to treasure. The HP Sprocket 2-in-1 lets you or anyone else you approve print 2-by-3-inch photos wirelessly from a smartphone or tablet, anywhere you go.

It will fit into a small bag and it includes a 5-megapixel camera, so you can alternately snap and print without smart device. It will also connect to popular social media platforms, so you can direct-print photos stored online. This has already become an essential device for our tester.

  1. Amazon Echo Dot

This tiny smart device lets you stream music around your home, using only your voice. We are waiting until the last weekend of November to try bag a bargain on Black Friday. If you can find an Amazon Echo Dot at a discounted price, it makes sense to buy a few and put them in different rooms around your house.

  1. Meccano Mecca Spider

Meccano is a brand on the rise for 2018. The Mecca Spider is a gift that both children and parents will love as it offers a great way to teach children about engineering and computer science.

Children will love the creepy crawly movement of the Mecca Spider – you can control his actions with the buttons or via the app. You can even use the app to customise Mecca Spider’s behaviour. The Spider can even mischievously spray a small jet of water at intruders such as little brothers or parents!

  1. Google Home

With yet another voice-controlled speaker on the gift list this year, new virtual assistants look like they are set to be part of the family this Christmas. Google Home offers hours of fun to spend sat around with family utilising the extensive song library to recall favourite songs and reminisce and laugh together, before you stick on the Christmas party tunes.

  1. Microsoft Xbox One X

Billed as ‘the most powerful console ever’, whoever receives this for Christmas is in for a real treat. The Xbox One X does what no console has done before: Native 4K HDR gaming.

In our opinion, the positives of this console far outweigh any minor flaws. Games look absolutely stunning – the Xbox One X fulfills the promise of 4K HDR gaming and offers by far the most premium gaming experience on a console.

  1. Bose QC35 II headphones

Advanced noise cancelling headphones which are sure to give you some peace on Christmas Day, Bose QC35 II headphones feature the Google Assistant built in, you can play music, receive texts and get answers without glancing at your phone…and relax. These are pricey, but in our experience, the peace is priceless!

  1. Nespresso Vertu

Coffee and cafe culture is now dominant in the UK and we are a nation that now has a higher expectation for coffee quality within the home, so a Nespresso machine is sure to be high on adults’ Christmas lists this season.

Nespresso Vertuo pods are dome-shaped and have a barcode around the rim. The barcode allows the machine to create the optimum brewing conditions for each capsule based on the particular blend of coffee.

We prefer this machine to others on the market as we are fans of a coffee shop style long coffee as opposed to the disappointing shots you can get with other machines.

  1. Anki Overdrive Fast and Furious

Players use a smartphone to find the racing line and control the speed and the cars steer themselves around the track with Anki Overdrive Fast and Furious. We had great fun triggering virtual mines, missiles and magnet attacks to slow down our opponents.

The sounds and visuals are on the screen but the racing action happens in the real world. This is Scalextric for the next generation!

Okay, so this is a serious question; who would you choose to be in your Superhero workforce? Yes, we do realise that superheroes aren’t real – but for arguments sake let’s say they are (because they are).

Anyway, would you hire Spiderman for his super-spidey sense and fast-paced reactions? We would! As long as it were in his contract that he never left trails of spider-webs hanging around. Could you imagine walking into one every *pause for effect* single * day?

Nick Fury – Directory

Our Director would be Nick Fury for obvious reasons, such as that he founded the Avengers and clearly has the required leadership skills. Not to mention his strong character which would be needed at stressful times.

Hawk Eye Supervisor

Hawk Eye would be our Supervisor because of his, well, his ‘eye’ for detail. See what we did there? He was practically made for looking over the rest of the workforce.

Professor X – Marketing

Why? Because he can get into the minds of potential customers. Not to mention he’s incredibly smart, which is always useful.

Captain America – General manager

Along with Captain America’s outstanding leadership skills, he is also a great planner. Just think of how many times he saved the day with his military planning skills.

If we were unlucky enough to not have Captain America at hand, we would use PeopleVox WMS. It’s basically Captain America in a computer software system!

Wolverine – Customer service

Wolverine is a very kind superhero, even if he looks a bit scary – he’s a softy really. Which is exactly why he’d be perfect on the phones. Customers would hear his calming voice, without physically seeing his strong hair-do and more importantly, his claws would never be seen, even if he ever got annoyed.

Iron man – Operations director

Clearly, Iron man has got the highest money-drive out there and he knows how to use this to his advantage. He isn’t afraid of taking risks for high awards and has the intellect to effectively run any transactions.

Spiderman – Box packer

Getting back to our point originally – Spiderman has the fastest reaction time and has crazy acrobatic skills. There’s no doubt that he would be the fastest box packer!

Ant man – Quality control

Ant man is perfectly fitted for checking every little detail – quite literally.

Hulk – Fork lift

He wouldn’t be there to work on the forklift, he would be the forklift. I think there’s no more needed to say for this!

Groot & rocket – Cherry picker

The duo sent to achieve brilliant heights! Groot would be there to do all the manual work, while Rocket would give all the answers as to what to do. Together they’re the brains and the muscle. Perfect.

Do you agree with us? It would be great to hear your opinions, preferably before we hire for our Superhero workforce…

Technology is always improving and nowadays, there are gadgets and machines to help us do almost anything we think of.

If you’re a business owner and recognise the extortionate tariffs that many business electricity providers have, you might be looking to use the new technology to reduce your bills. Let’s face it – you can’t run a profitable and successful business if you’re spending money on unnecessary bills!

If you’re looking to reduce the amount of money your company spends on its’ electricity supply each month, Sam from Business Electric shares three simple ways to do so using technology:

1. Use your own solar power

Considering an energy-efficient electricity supply that is renewable and doesn’t negatively impact the environment?

Creating your own solar power system can provide your business with this and although they’re slightly more expensive to install, you’ll get a great return on your investment over the coming years – especially with electricity bills set to rise by as much as 5% in the coming year.

You can even supplement your income when installing a solar power system. If you create too much energy than your business would use, you have the option of selling it back through the Feed-in Tariff scheme.

2. Opt for energy-efficient appliances and devices

If you’re using high-performance machines in your office, it could be the main reason as to why your monthly business electricity bill is so high. Instead of assuming that the working habits of your staff is to blame, it may just be the type of technology you’re supplying them with.

Devices such as photocopiers and old printers that were made years ago probably aren’t as energy efficient as modern-day machines, making them use more electricity and hiking up your bills.

One of the easiest ways to resolve this issue is to swap old devices for newer ones. Look for machines with the Energy Star logo to reduce your consumption, and ensure that they’re unplugged at the wall when not in use to prevent accidental usage and wastage.

You could also consider using a site like VoucherBin to get money off your deals for buying some good energy efficient appliances.

3. Shop around!

Just like you probably do when you’re looking to buy a new piece of office equipment, shopping around and receiving quotes from multiple energy providers is an easy and simple way to reduce your utility bills.

Use online comparison tools to compare which business electricity provider can give your office or commercial building the features you need at the cheapest price. Simply entering a few details about your property and its’ typical energy consumption could save you hundreds of pounds in the long-run.

Even if you’re already stuck in a contract with your provider, you can still shop around for cheaper tariffs and prepare yourself for when you’re eligible to change provider.

As you can see, there are a variety of different ways that you can use technology to reduce your business’ electricity bills, whether it be through switching your current devices or installing new.

Less Than Half of British Parents Monitor Their Children’s Video Gaming Activity https://www.mozbot.co.uk/2017/06/14/gaming-activity-kids/ Wed, 14 Jun 2017 12:38:56 +0000 https://www.mozbot.co.uk/2017/06/14/gaming-activity-kids/ Considering that video games are rife amongst younger kids, it seems like parents in the UK aren’t doing enough to monitor the content that our children are viewing. Considering that video games are rife amongst younger kids, it seems like parents in the UK aren’t doing enough to monitor the content that our children are viewing.

According to a recent survey by Distinctive Chesterfields, less than half of British parents actively monitor their children’s video gaming activity, and just over a third asses their taste in music – despite the fact that majority is now classed as sexually explicit.

When it comes to TV programmes, less than a third of parents asked admitted to keeping tabs on the programmes – and channels – that their kids watch regularly.

Shockingly, the survey also revealed that parents these days are happy to hand their child their first mobile phone at the tender age of 11, even though a quarter of children of primary school-age have been previously caught sending sexually explicit messages.

Tom Madders, Director of Campaigns and Communications at children’s charity YoungMinds, said: “Social media is part of everyday life for most young people – from organising plans with friends to reading the news or scrolling through Twitter or Instagram.

“Parents can adjust the safety settings on their Internet browsers and devices, but it is impossible to monitor or control everything your child sees online.

“This is why it is so important for parents to talk to their children about what they may be seeing online and encourage them to open up if something is troubling them.”

According to the research, 59% of parents would let their child watch an age-restricted age even when their child is younger than the restriction.

When it comes to 18-rated movies, 14% of parents said that they’d allow their child to watch one at the younger age of 15.

Steve Laidlaw from Distinctivechesterfields.com said, “Obviously, children mature at different rates but parents are right to question whether television, films and social media have any influence over the speed at which it happens.

“Every parent faces decisions about letting their children have their ears pierced or staying up longer but compared to when they were young themselves, it’s quite incredible to see the extra decisions they’ll need to make based on technology, to ensure their children are safe using tablets and smart phones.”
